In The Pig Barn: Farrowing Basics Webinar

WSU Extension in collaboration with SDSU Extension, Washington Pork Producers and support from the National Pork Board is starting a new bi-weekly webinar series called “In The Barn” which will feature different topics tailored to new and beginning pig farmers common in the Pacific Northwest from in the barn, the cooler, the vet hospital and even the kitchen. Larger scale producer are also welcome to attend as lifelong learners.

The first webinar of the “In The Barn Series” will be on farrowing for sow care and comfort and piglet survivability and health with video from the South Dakota Swine Teaching Barn with sows, piglets–and maybe even a live birth. Dr. Thaler and Dr. Samuel with be with us live provide advice and answer questions. The webinar is free to attend however individuals must register to receive log-in information.
